ConnectUp Care Giver Support

What: The ConnectUP Caregiver Support was created to provide support and information to parents and caregivers of adolescents who have experienced, or are experiencing, commercial sexual exploitation, also known as sex trafficking. Caregivers can request one on one conversation and support with CSEC subject matter expert, Leslie Briner.

When: The first Tuesday of the month from 6:00pm to 7:30pm. Participants are welcome to come one time or every month.

Where: Zoom

Who: Parents and caregivers of adolescents who have experienced or are experiencing commercial sexual exploitation, also known as sex trafficking.

About the Facilitator: For over 20 years, Leslie Briner has served families experiencing homelessness, youth with developmental disabilities, youth in the foster care system and, since 2005, has worked with commercially sexually exploited (CSE) youth. She has designed, implemented, and directed services for sexually exploited and trafficked youth and developed comprehensive training on these topics. Leslie currently operates Social Strategies, a training and consulting practice based in Seattle, Washington. She works with local and national organizations and is an Associate Faculty at the University of Washington, School of Social Work. Ms. Briner is originally from California and has lived in Seattle, Washington since 2007. She holds a Masters in Social Work (MSW) from the University of Washington
