School is often a challenge for children with a history of trauma and it can be challenging to all involved to help kids succeed. This training provides tips & guidance on how professionals and caregivers can help children ease back into school, especially if there are learning or behavioral challenges, and/or being in a new placement.

Hygiene & Trauma: How do they connect?
Does your teen not like to bathe? Does your child seem less than fully potty trained (and they are no longer toddlers!) Will the adolescent rarely change their clothes? Adoption Success & Understanding
The presentation outlines the adoption process for children who are in the child welfare system. It includes the basic steps involved in the adoption process through DCYF as well as useful resources for post adoption. This training is designed for professionals to gain knowledge of the adoption path so they can better support their clients. It is also useful for caregivers who want a refresher about how adoption and foster care are different, with brief
information on other types of adoption.

Does not matter which placing agency you used previously or are with currently. It is an honest, supportive environment with humor and ideas.
