ACE’s (Adverse Childhood Experiences)
This training explains the Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) study and identifies all 10 ACEs.
All childhood experiences, especially traumatic events, have an impact on people as they mature. This training explores the long term effects that adverse childhood experiences have on physical and mental health. Preventative measures, resiliency, and how to address the needs of children with a high ACEs score are all discussed. Personal ACE’s test provided.

Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children (CSEC) …And Boys Too
This workshop was developed by Norene Roberts who was instrumental in the writing of And Boys Too, a discussion paper published by ECPAT USA. This training dives into the prevalence of commercial sexual exploitation of young boys, reasons why boys are often overlooked as victims, health outcomes for male survivors, and tactics for addressing this issue.

Attachment: Beyond Infancy
Attachment is the foundation of all relationships, and when caring for children with a history of trauma and trust issues, it does not always occur easily. Attachment issues are often a core reason why caretakers and children have challenges in placement and/or disrupt from the home. This training addresses the need for Attachment-Focused care, including some practical tips on how to strengthen bonding to children. This training can help caregivers and professionals understand the basics of how attachment issues are extremely common in children who have experienced complex trauma, and what behaviors may come from that.

Held on the 2nd and 4th Thurs of each month from 6:00 to 7:30pm on Zoom
This is a virtual state-wide support group intended for adoptive, foster ,guardianship and kinship caregivers. A place to share concerns, resources and talk to others who understand! Does not matter which placing agency you used previously or are with currently. It is an honest, supportive environment with humor, honesty and resources, courtesy of Coordinated Care.
